Stocks Finish Higher on Commodities Rebound

Stocks rebounded and finished firmly in positive territory Monday as a recovery in commodities prices offset uncertainty about Greece's severe debt load.

In commodity markets, the June crude oil contract gained $5.37 to close at $102.55 a barrel. Gold for June delivery was up $11.60 at $1,503.20 an ounce. The July silver contract added $1.83 to settle at $37.12 an ounce.
"Either silver was a raging buy below $35 on Friday, or Mr. Market's got lots more pain lined up for silver investors buying back in at $38 this morning," said Adrian Ash, head of research at BullionVault.com.
